Micro Control Company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Drafter to join our growing Mechanical Engineering team and serve as a critical link between engineering design and manufacturing. Micro Control Company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Drafter to join our growing Mechanical Engineering team and serve as a critical link between engineering design and manufacturing. In this hands-on role, you’ll take ownership of complex mechanical designs—partnering closely with engineers and operations to develop accurate CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and documentation that move products from concept to the production floor.
What You’ll Do
- Translate complex engineering requirements into detailed CAD models and complete drawings
- Collaborate with engineers to review designs and resolve technical issues
- Create and maintain BOMs, technical documentation, and assembly drawings
- Support prototype builds, design verification, and engineering change orders
- Maintain CAD standards and help manage parts and assemblies in the ERP system
- Provide hands-on support to Operations during the build process
What You Bring
- Associate’s degree in Engineering CAD Technology or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience producing complex mechanical designs using 3D CAD tools
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T and SolidWorks
- Experience with ERP systems and engineering change processes
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designs
- Experience with AutoCAD and other 3D design tools
