Your Role at a Glance…

As a Printing Press Operator, you will:

  • Set up and operate the HP Indigo 6900 to bring customer designs to life.
  • Review job tickets to ensure we’re using the right materials and colors, every time.
  • Perform color calibration to meet customer expectations and maintain consistency across jobs.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure perfection, checking quality from start to finish.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment while keeping equipment in top condition.
  • Collaborate with teams, ensuring seamless communication across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Press Setup & Operation: Accurately set up and run the press according to job specifications, ensuring top-notch results.
  • Color & Material Management: Carefully verify color targets and stock materials before each job to maintain consistency.
  • Quality Control: Conduct in-process inspections and review final product samples for quality assurance.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and address any machine issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production teams and clients to ensure a smooth workflow and timely deliveries.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in the printing industry, preferably with digital or label printing experience.
  • Certifications: HP Certification Level 1 is desired.
  • Skills: Strong basic math skills, proficiency in reading job tickets, and basic computer skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to distinguish color variations and meet stringent quality standards.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Safety Focus: Knowledge of safety regulations and experience using protective equipment in the pressroom.
