Overview
Waukesha Metal Products is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to support our growing workforce in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a proactive HR professional who enjoys working directly with employees and leadership while driving HR initiatives that support safety, compliance, and employee engagement.
This position is based in Sussex, WI, with routine support provided at our Grafton facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, recruiting, and onboarding
  • Partner with supervisors and leadership to address workforce needs and resolve employee concerns
  • Coordinate and administer benefits, leave programs, and HR policies
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state (Wisconsin), and company employment policies
  • Assist with performance management, disciplinary processes, and documentation
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
  • Support safety initiatives and collaborate with operations in a manufacturing setting

Qualifications
  • 3–7 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements
  • Experience in employee relations, recruiting, and benefits administration
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems preferred

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary up to $75,000 annually, based on experience.

Work Environment
  • Full-time, onsite position (no remote work)
  • Manufacturing and office environment with regular interaction on the production floor
