We are seeking a Customer Service & Data Entry Specialist to join our team!
The Customer Service & Data Entry Specialist will prioritize outstanding customer sales and service support, dedicating their time to handling inquiries about pricing, delivery, quote requests, issue resolution, product returns, and expediting shipments. Additionally, time will be spent entering customer order information and assisting with various sales and service tasks. This role demands a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Experience Needed: Customer Service & Data Entry Specialist
  • Associate degree or equivalent technical skills and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of business-to-business experience in a customer service/inside sales role; experience in industrial manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical/technical aptitude.
  • Experience with or exposure to industrial products or manufacturing environments is preferred.
Position Responsibilities: Customer Service & Data Entry Specialist
  • Provide sales and service support, including pricing, delivery, quotes, issue resolution, product returns, and shipment expediting.
  • Offer technical assistance with product selection and troubleshooting.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive brand loyalty and enhance the customer experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with company products and pricing strategies.
  • Collect and provide competitive intelligence to aid pricing decisions and product comparisons.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to:
  • Prepare accurate custom quotes (with Engineering and Estimating)
  • Ensure customer orders are accurately documented (with Order Entry)
  • Expedite shipments as needed (with Operations and Purchasing)
  • Provide accurate lead times and order statuses (with Operations and Purchasing)
  • Manage customer returns (with Quality, Operations, and Purchasing)
  • Accurately and efficiently input customer order information into the ERP system.
  • Assist in the preparation of job floor packets for Operations.
  • Perform basic scheduling (level loading) of the shop workload during order entry.
  • Perform shipping duties which includes ensuring appropriate documentation is in line to schedule truck lines to pick products up.
  • Organize and maintain customer order/shipping packets electronically.
