The Inside Sales Representative provides direct support to customers while assisting outside sales and sales management in the development of existing and prospective customers. This person is also responsible for selling the Marsh Line Card, solving product and customer related problems, and dealing with vendors as well as working closely with both internal and external customers.

Key Accountabilities:

- 5 things Customers Want: Ensure excellent customer service across the inside sales team while meeting internal and external customer expectations (5 things customers want) to ensure customer retention.
- Communication: Communicate effectively, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of products, policies, systems, and procedures: Knowledge of products, policies, systems, and procedures to execute the function of the role.
- Corporate Initiatives: Strive to enhance yearly corporate initiatives (GP, excess inv., turns, Salesforce.)
- Prepare cost requests to purchasing properly
- Quoting and Quotation follow up
- Closing Opportunities
- Process customer purchase orders and acknowledgements
- Complete customer expedites
- Partner with Outside Sales to build order pipeline and close sales
- Maintaining and growing gross profit dollars and profitability of your accounts
- Handle RMA’s (Return Material Authorizations)
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest while building relationships
- Work in conjunction with Outside Sales to resolve slow moving and dead inventory.
- Work in conjunction with Outside Sales to maintain and review stocking requirements for customers specific agreements to ensure proper inventories
- Update sales opportunities in Marsh Customer Relationship Management software
- Participate in sales promos and product training
- Maintain documents per
- Participate in Quarterly Business Review with assigned customers
- Work with Outside Sales and Purchasing to solve critical supply chain problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions
- Mathematical skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, fractions and decimals
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with varying timelines
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- May require occasional overnight travel (< 5%)
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-3 years industrial sales and/or customer service
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
