About the Position
Responsible for testing of raw materials, customer samples, and finished products for various reasons (i.e. internal and external issues, rank testing, continuous improvement projects, etc.). Collects test results for analysis by the Quality Engineer. Manages data entry of supplier’s certificate of analysis as needed. Supports QC with In-Process and COA testing as needed. Performs duties independently with guidance from the Quality Manager and Quality Engineers (QE).

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and test samples of finished products and raw materials, documenting results for review.
- Perform rank testing and filtrate analysis to identify particle size issues or contamination.
- Maintain and update raw material FTIR database and support data entry tasks.
- Ensure equipment is clean, calibrated, and ready for use.
- Communicate problems effectively to supervisors and assist with issue resolution.
- Support validation of APQP projects related to new materials and testing methods.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement projects to enhance processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to SEA procedures and safety standards.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Chemistry related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft software products.
- Must demonstrate good technical aptitude, and ability to learn operation of complicated laboratory equipment.
