Reich Tool & Design, a Menomonee Falls based, family-owned and operated Tool and Die manufacturer for almost 60 years is looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Specialist to work Second Shift.  The Lathe Specialist is responsible for set-up, operation, and running components through the CNC machines per print.   The qualified candidate would report to the Second Shift Team Lead.

This is an in-person, Second shift position with possible overtime based on Company needs.   Expected hours are 40 per week. Hours worked are flexible with either five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days.   There is a shift premium as well.

The Reich facility is clean, modern and climate-controlled. The culture is great and the employees are friendly.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Set-up, adjust and operate horizontal lathes to produce parts.
  • Set-up, adjust and operate vertical mills to produce parts.
  • Knowledge of the machining characteristics of a wide variety of materials.
  • Bar feeder operation / set-up.
  • Live tooling operation / set-up.
  • Rotary axis operation / set-up.
  • Adjust speeds, feeds, tooling, and operational sequences.
  • Position and secure work piece(s) in machine.
  • Load tools into machine and touch off.
  • Indicate / pick-up parts in machine and set work coordinates.
  • Post programs on the shop floor and load them into the machines.
  • Machine parts per print.
  • Hold Close tolerances and finish requirements.
  • Good knowledge of blueprint reading and Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
  • Follow CNC processes for machining the piece.
  • Use of a variety of precision measuring devices.
  • Owns a rollaway toolbox with basic measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Assist in development and implementation of procedures and controls to promote efficient lean operations of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task / run multiple machines.
  • Ensure the completion of all paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Able to work overtime when requested to meet the needs of customer timelines.
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Support the company's quality policy, ISO 9001-2015, ISO 13485, 5S practices, LEAN and world class manufacturing initiatives.
  • Commits to the corporate goals, mission, and vision.
  • Regular physical attendance is required.
  • Travel, as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications Necessary:

  • High school education or GED.
  • Communication skills.
  • Proficient with math and blueprints.
  • Three years experience in CNC job shop environment. 
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Journeyman’s card in CNC and/or tool making.
  • Cad-Cam knowledge
  • 5 years+ machining experience

Post offer drug screen and background check required.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour plus shift premium
