As a Project Manager / Estimator,
Responsibilities include:
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial glazing projects, including materials, labor, and other project expenses
  • Coordinate with general contractors, architects, and engineers to gather project specifications and requirements
  • Review project plans and drawings to determine the scope of work and identify potential issues or challenges
  • Source and negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors
  • Create project schedules and timelines, and manage project progress to meet deadlines
  • Monitor project budgets and make necessary adjustments to ensure projects stay within budget
  • Oversee project quality control and ensure work is completed to company and industry standards
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providing project updates and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and other project-related paperwork
  • Conduct site visits as needed to ensure work is being completed according to plans and specifications
  • Participate in project meetings and provide regular reports to company management on project status and progress
Skills required:
  • 5+ years of experience in estimating and project management in commercial glazing
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial glazing systems, materials, and installation methods
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, including blueprints, specifications, and contracts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

This is a full-time position and will be required to work regularly in our office and travel within the local area.
