The Sr. Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing a wide range of tasks to support the daily operations of the Human Resources Department. The Sr. Human Resources Generalist also assists with strategic planning, advising leadership, and implementing HR initiatives that align with business goals. The Sr. Human Resources Generalist is a trusted advisor and key point of contact for both employees and management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree or higher in HR-related field, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 4 or more years of previous Human Resource experience
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with the ability to build trackers, dashboards, and polished presentations for leadership
- Experienced in HRIS payroll maintenance, troubleshooting, and customized reporting, UKG preferred
- Strong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, STD/LTD, and other leave programs, including day-to-day administration, case management, employee communication, and coordination with third-party providers
- Thorough understanding of FLSA classifications, timekeeping compliance, and wage-and-hour requirements to ensure proper exemption status and adherence to federal and state laws
- Deep knowledge of health and welfare benefits in a self-insured environment, including claims processes, eligibility administration, open enrollment support, and vendor coordination
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, capable of building trust and credibility at all organizational levels
- Demonstrated strengths in organization, prioritization, and problem-solving, with the ability to manage multiple confidential matters simultaneously
- Maintains the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, especially when handling sensitive employee information and complex employee relations issues
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to navigate a fast-paced environment while consistently delivering accurate work and meeting established deadlines
