Allied Resource Recovery (ARR) is a locally owned and operated recycler that has been in business since 1938. ARR is dedicated to improving our community and environment throughout Southeastern WI.
We have an opportunity to be trained as a RECYCLING MATERIALS BUYER who will locate and offer our recycling services to purchase metals, cardboard and paper. Our buying team purchases commodities from our customers and is able to find solutions to their recycling challenges. Some prior sales experience, or knowledge of recycling, waste or environmental sustainability management will be necessary in this role.
We offer a base salary of $60k, a competitive commission program, car allowance, health insurance with an 85% employer paid premium, two weeks of paid time off in your first year and a 401(k) with a 100% company match and more!

Position Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- We will train you on-the-job about the recycling industry and help you hone your sales/buying skills. You will join our sales team in seeking out new market opportunities to expand our recyclable materials purchasing.
- If you enjoy analyzing and problem solving, we can train you to provide full-service recycling solutions to our customers while creating long term business opportunities.
- You will build your customer base by connecting with and meeting with potential customers while providing competitive bids for their recyclable materials and our related services. This will involve a significant amount of cold calling and maintaining long term customer relationships. To do so will require self-confidence and the ability to take no for an answer and consider it a challenge.
- You will utilize Microsoft Office Suite to communicate effectively inside and out of the organization. Some proficiency in Excel will be necessary in this role. Prior experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software like Salesforce would be helpful.
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation is required to make site visits within assigned geographical territory.
