JOB SUMMARY:
Housekeepers are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of residents' rooms and common areas as assigned by the Executive Director. This position is responsible for representing New Day well and promoting its culture.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must complete probationary period successfully. Must be able to be flexible and work alone if necessary. Complete applicable CBRF classes. Desired: High School Diploma or equivalent.
DUTIES:
The Housekeeper will be responsible for the below job duties including but not limited to:

DUTIES:
The Housekeeper will be responsible for the below job duties including but not limited to:
- Represent New Day with professionalism, always embracing New Day’s culture, which includes “treating others as you would like to be treated.”
- Sort dirty laundry to ensure soiled items, housekeeping items, kitchen items, and resident items are laundered separately
- Complete laundry process including washing, drying, folding/hanging up and putting away all items, including bedding, towels, resident clothing, napkins, and tablecloths
- Maintain the laundry area to ensure a clean and organized work area
- Uses equipment and cleaning chemicals properly and safely in accordance with guidelines
- Monitor equipment and laundry supplies and report information to Executive Director
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers
- Respect and implement resident preferences and requests
- Reports any equipment irregularities to Executive Director
- Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
- All other duties as assigned by the Executive Director/House Manager
- Stand, sit and walk for long periods of time.
- Full ranges of motion to climb, balance, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Full function of hands and arms
- Ability to lift, stack and maneuver objects that may weigh 30 to 50 pounds
