- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while producing accurate, and detailed high-quality design work.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Create mechanical 3D models and drawings for the assigned product line, showing product details, dimensions, and materials of construction leveraging Solidworks.
- Ensure all drawings are detailed, accurate, complete, and in accordance with customer requirements and company procedures.
- Deliver all drawings and models according to schedules and deadlines set by customers and the department management.
- Contribute innovative ideas, skills, and work products to the business unit.
- Utilize Solid Modeling, Product Data Management (PDM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software as a routine course of business while demonstrating a willingness and ability for continued learning and skills advancement.
- Analyze customer, mechanical, structural, and regulatory requirements to develop practical, effective, and complete design solutions.
- Convert verbal and written information into 2-dimensional drawings for use in the product manufacturing process.
Job Requirements

- Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field with 2+ years of experience, or an associate's degree in mechanical design or related field with 8+ years of experience.
- Experience designing with SolidWorks.
- Proficiency with Product Data Management and ERP software.
- Solid understanding of developing mechanical designs and drawings with product details, dimensions, and structures while indicating materials and manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to convert written and verbal information into 2-dimensional drawings.
- Proficiently use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to visualize designs in both 2D and 3D.
