Order Processing Representative

As the Order Process Representative, the primary responsibility is to ensure accurate processing of customer orders using trained MDC processes and procedures, with clear articulation of technical order information. Additionally, the role involves reporting to the scheduling lead, confidently using our ERP system, following company policies, and performing other tasks as assigned.

What We're Looking For: Order Processing Representative
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to conceptualize and understand technical tool construction drawings and information.
  • 1+ years of experience in a Manufacturing or Tool Production Role and/or direct Industry Experience
  • Microsoft/Word, Computer data entry knowledge with daily experience work history.
  • Experience managing detail-oriented work; working with data is this daily environment, and well organized
  • Must present high level verbal and written communication skills; the ability to communicate and work effectively with customers and all levels within the organization.
  • Customer oriented experienced work record
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
  • Team player with the ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle fast paced work environment.
  • Professional manner and demeanor.

Key Responsibilities: Order Processing Representative
  • Assist customers with incoming technical data, addressing and preparing the information in a correct and clear format for order processing objectives.
  • Monitor the Orders inbox with the goal of pulling information, efficiently reviewing and redirecting it to the appropriate operation (Job Coordination, Engineering, inquiry etc.)
  • Assist in determining the most efficient and practical way to furnish production with the necessary documentation, prints, examples, etc., to execute and complete all jobs that meet the customers’ contracts and specifications.
  • Work with estimators and engineers in support of quoted or non-quoted, incoming tool orders.
  • Develop entry level production understanding to support order processing of any other related products manufactured/sold by Mathias Die Company. 
  • Develop confidence around product delivery times, supported through various industry vendor shipping methods. Develop the ability to discuss and negotiate, within customer delivery factors, with a focus of “On Time” Shipment expectations.
  • Communication and coordinating role in production scheduling requirements.
  • Develop an understanding knowledge of MDC’s quality objectives.  Learn the department’s performance measuring tools and learn to be accountable to them.
  • Become responsible for assuring that all customer files are current and accurate.
  • Supporting MDC’s various Customer Service communication points; that can include supporting quoting/estimating tasks.
  • Primary backup support for all incoming calls.
  • Answer and direct all questions as required
  • To always provide professional and effective representation of MDC including all subsidiaries thereof
  • Maintain a positive and continuous communication flow between Mathias Die Company and all customers
  • Follow all safety rules; practice and promote preventative safety
