Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000


Due to company growth, AmeriWater is seeking an experienced and dynamic Quality Engineer to join our team!

Are you a detail-driven engineer with a passion for quality and continuous improvement? Join our team as a Quality Engineer and play a key role in ensuring supplier quality and operational excellence across our manufacturing and supply chain network. You’ll act as the technical liaison between engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and suppliers to lead quality improvement initiatives and resolve complex quality challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Lead supplier performance improvement initiatives aligned with company quality standards.
  • Investigate and analyze product complaints and field defects.
  • Perform root cause analysis for internal and supplier quality problems and recommend corrective actions.
  • Initiate and verify implementation of preventative actions.
  • Communicate urgent quality issues to internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Define, track, and report on short- and long-term supplier quality objectives and KPIs.
  • Interpret engineering and manufacturing specifications for supplier technical teams.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Maintain and manage the supplier audit system and conduct on-site audits to promote process standardization and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in quality, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
  • Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and solve problems using structured quality tools (8D, 5 Whys, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of PPAP, quality systems, and supplier quality management practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills preferred.
