As we continue to grow and expand, The CMM Group has an exciting opening for a Mechanical Designer responsible for creating an extensive variety of technical drawings for our air pollution control equipment including oxidizers, concentrators, heat recovery systems, process equipment including dryers and ovens, and other industrial equipment.


Essential Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Ability to take a sketched concept and design a 3D model using SolidWorks to detailed release for fabrication (sheet metal based).
  • Proficient use of software programs, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), ERP system, AutoCAD, planning/scheduling tools.
  • Experience in creating drawings from inception to detailed release for fabrication.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal and forming / welding.
  • Experience in developing a complete and accurate bill of materials
  • Ability to balance high demand & requests from various departments.
  • Excellent math skills
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask
  • Good analytical skills in deciphering prints and layouts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects
  • Position is full time, 40+ hours per week and overtime eligible
  • Associate Degree or higher, or equivalent work experience and training in Mechanical technology or mechanical design.
