Medela LLC is seeking a Product Marketing Manager, Hospital-NICU and Maternity Care in the medical device hospital sector.
This position requires an on-site presence in our McHenry, IL location.

Key Experience Needed: Product Marketing Manager, Hospital-NICU and Maternity Care
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Finance, or Marketing.
  • 5+ years of Product Marketing experience required, with strong strategic market and data analysis skills.
  • 3+ years minimum of health care & hospital-based business experience required.
  • Launch and commercial experience in healthcare are highly desired.
  • Understanding HCP-specific media channels.
  • Understanding of the hospital regulatory requirements and the impact on digital marketing strategies and execution.
  • 3+ years of managing multiple tasks and projects with success in promoting products in healthcare.
  • Creative and innovative skills with a high level of energy, enthusiasm, endurance, and a can-do attitude.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute complex strategic business plans.
  • Will need to meet vendor credentialing/compliance demands of accounts (hospitals) within a given territory and must satisfy the account’s drug screening requirements, including but not limited to screening for marijuana use, regardless of whether the use of marijuana is legal under applicable state law.
  • Strong computer and internet skills; software experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook experience
  • Power BI experience desired.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Position Responsibilities: Product Marketing Manager, Hospital-NICU and Maternity Care
  • Position Medela’s market-leading products across the continuum of NICU & Maternity Care products with key customers in the hospital sector.
  • Manage campaigns and messaging targeted to HCPs, end-user customers, distributors, and field organizations.
  • Responsible for creating content that is consistent with the Brand story and Brand Messaging on HCP sites and LinkedIn.
  • Provide On-Market Product Marketing Strategy & On-Market Subject Matter Expertise and develop commercial approaches to reach varied customer segments.
  • Stay on top of changing digital behaviors and trends and regularly communicate opportunities and insights.
  • Conduct market research and translate that research into market initiatives.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and promotional programs for existing products, including product strategy development, pricing strategy, collateral creation, and brand management.
  • Identify and develop a launch plan for upcoming new products in the category and manage each stage of the process through take to market.
  • Engage with the global marketing team to help inform product characteristics desired by targeted customer types & FDA requirements.
  • Review healthcare and competitive landscapes to ensure our commercial organizations are kept up to date on changing marketplace dynamics.
  • Review monthly financial performance and determine contributing factors. Offer solutions for detrimental sales or trends.
  • Engage sales training team to develop impactful, comprehensive, and ongoing training programs providing product, customer, and market insights to accelerate product adoption and utilization.
  • Analyze sales trends over time and the impact of competitive strategies. Support forecasts and budgets with appropriately detailed marketing plans.
  • Support the analysis of bids on GPO and/or Integrated Delivery Network contracts for assigned product categories.
  • Manage inventory by focusing on eliminating surplus and optimizing SKU count
  • Travel to customer/hospital sites, 10% travel.
