With our ongoing expansion, we are seeking a skilled Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team to new heights.


As an Engineering Manager, you will oversee and drive the engineering operations, leading a talented team to achieve daily objectives and ensuring our products and services consistently meet and exceed customer needs. Your role will be pivotal in cultivating a culture of continuous quality improvement and spearheading Lean initiatives to optimize efficiency and innovation.
Responsibilities:
 
  • Develops procedures, and objectives including engineering systems, project plans, programs, tooling, fixtures, and training guidelines to ensure effective and efficient production of all Burns Products.
  • Inform, motivate, train, evaluate, and develop the Engineering Staff and collaborate frequently with production, application engineering, quality, lab, and purchasing departments.
  • Coordinates drawings for clients including associated labor and materials estimates to be shared with the Application Team.
  • Prioritize and manage timelines and budgets for all engineering projects working closely with the Quality Manager to support quality measures and periodic reviews including supplier quality, manufacturing quality, and customer perception of quality.
  • Leads and directs new product development as requested by customers through Sales and Application Engineers and company-driven design and development programs.
  • Works with the President to prepare annual multi-faceted engineering goals including prioritized project lists, budgets, timelines, and personnel support. 
  • Coordinates ALL Engineering support for new product, sensor, and transmitter design including agency approvals, and compliance with industry standards and ECO process.
  • Coordinates technical support for the Inspection and Calibration areas with appropriate resources. 
  • Ensures Technical Management of NVLAP accreditation of the calibration lab in collaboration with Metrology Technicians.

Qualifications:
 
  • BS in Engineering or related field
  • 8 years plus experience in design and/or manufacturing engineering
  • 3 years’ experience in Supervisory/ Management capacity
  • 5 years of experience in the sensor or process control industry, preferred
