Position Summary
Reinders is seeking a Store Manager to lead the sales and daily operations of our Madison-area retail and warehouse location. This role supports customers in the landscaping, irrigation, golf, and lawn care industries while ensuring the store operates efficiently and delivers exceptional service.

The Store Manager partners closely with Field Sales Representatives, Marketing, and Product Managers to grow store revenue, manage inventory, and maintain operational excellence. This position also leads store staff, ensures accurate reporting, and helps maintain a safe and organized facility.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service
  • Achieve store sales goals through strong leadership and customer engagement
  • Manage counter and phone sales and assist with customer orders and deliveries
  • Partner with Field Sales Representatives and Product Managers to support customer accounts and pricing initiatives
Store Operations
  • Oversee daily store operations including paperwork, deposits, and facility organization
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and coordinate product replenishment
  • Ensure the store and warehouse remain clean, organized, and efficient
Team Leadership
  • Train, coach, and manage Store Associates
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
Inventory & Merchandising
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Purchasing, and Product Managers on merchandising and promotions
  • Support inventory accuracy and stock management
Facility & Equipment Oversight
  • Coordinate facility and fleet maintenance with internal departments
  • Ensure safe operation of warehouse equipment and delivery vehicles

Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in retail sales, distribution, or store management
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred
  • Experience in the landscaping, irrigation, golf, turf, or green industry

Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the store and warehouse. Employees must occasionally lift or move items up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment
This position is based in a retail/service center with warehouse operations. Employees may work around equipment such as pallet jacks, delivery trucks, and lawn or turf equipment.
