The EFCA national office is seeking a full-time Senior Payroll Accountant to manage the EFCA payroll processes within established deadlines and policies, and ensure compliance with applicable payroll, tax, and employment requirements.

Duties:
- Manage all aspects of processing multi-state payrolls for EFCA employees.
- Process new hires and terminations for ReachGlobal missionary personnel and follow up with appropriate ReachGlobal staff as needed to ensure information is accurate and complete.
- Produce accurate and timely processing of all payrolls.
- Research, resolve, and communicate complex payroll issues; respond to inquiries from employees and personnel involved with the human resources and payroll functions.
- Oversee all payroll reporting requirements.
- Assist with the annual financial statement audit by preparing the necessary work papers. Coordinate the annual workers compensation audit.
- Prepare monthly reconciliation and journal entries related to payroll accounts.
- Maintain payroll files ensuring that access is restricted to appropriate personnel.
- Provide ongoing training to Accounting Assistant to ensure readiness for back-up duties.
- Alignment with and commitment to the mission and values of the EFCA
- Associate’s degree in business; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Five years of full-cycle payroll experience; knowledge of clergy and/or international payroll issues a plus.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credential preferred.
- Experience with ADP WorkforceNow and UKG Ready strongly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Outstanding customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to spend more than 50% of work time using a keyboard and a computer.
