 Summary
Functions as a technical liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to investigate, analyze and resolve quality problems by conducting audits, analyzing defect trends, and leading continuous improvement efforts.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Lead supplier performance improvement initiatives aligned with company quality standards.
  • Investigate and analyze product complaints and field defects.
  • Perform root cause analysis for internal and supplier quality problems and recommend corrective actions.
  • Initiate and verify implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Communicate urgent quality issues to internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Define, track, and report on short-and long-term supplier quality objectives and KPIs.
  • Interpret engineering and manufacturing specifications for supplier technical teams.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Maintain and manage the supplier audit system and conduct on-site audits to promote process standardization and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in engineering and 2+ years of related experience in quality, manufacturing, or supply chain environments, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and solve problems using structured quality tools (8D, 5 Whys, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of PPAP, quality systems, and supplier quality management practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills preferred.

Working Conditions
  • The work environment is a typical office environment with work in production and warehouse environments.
  • The physical demands of the position include standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Must use hands and fingers to handle or touch objects and to operate tools or controls.
  • The position may require occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Good vision, depth perception, and color vision are required for safety and inspection purposes.
  • Occasional travel may be required
