Senior Remediation Engineer

As a member of our Geoscience Group, you’ll apply your skills across all stages of environmental projects—contributing meaningful work to our communities and environment. This senior role plays a key part in client relationships, technical leadership, and project oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Develop technical approaches for subsurface investigations
Lead project teams to implement multi-discipline remediation solutions for soil, groundwater, sediment, and vapor using in-situ and ex-situ technologies
Establish work procedures, schedules, budgets, and staffing requirements
Oversee preparation of contract/design drawings, specifications, and bid documents for environmental remediation projects
Coordinate and monitor subcontractor work activities
Ensure efficient time management with a strong attention to detail
Review ongoing remediation projects to optimize performance or recommend alternative strategies
Support business development through proposal writing, scope and fee negotiation, interviews, and presentations
Required Skills and Experience
10+ years of relevant environmental engineering experience
Degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, or related)
P.E. (Professional Engineer) license strongly preferred
Proven experience in:
Site investigations
Feasibility studies
Pilot scale studies
Soil and groundwater remediation
Environmental engineering design
Understanding of CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, and Wisconsin NR 500 & 700 series regulations
Strong written and verbal communication skills with both internal teams and external stakeholders
Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems proactively
Passion for mentoring and coaching junior engineers and staff
